White Wine Cupcakes

If you know me then you know that I love chocolate.

What girl doesn’t?

Because of my love for chocolate, I jumped at the chance to work with Ghirardelli Chocolates and Josh Cellars wine for their #asweetpairing campaign. It took me a while to decide what I wanted to make but ultimately decided on a Valentine’s bark using Ghirardelli chocolate. While shopping for the ingredients my daughter picked up a funfetti cake mix. An idea was instantly born and while I made the bark too, the white wine cupcakes were the bigger hit.

White Wine Cupcakes (with Ghirardelli chocolate and Josh Cellars wine):

White Wine Cupcakes with Ghirardelli and Josh Cellars

They look delicious, right? Here is how you can make them. I promise it’s easy and because of the high oven temperatures, they are also kid-safe.

White Wine Cupcakes

Ingredients:
1 Funfetti cake mix
1 Tub Funfetti icing
Sprinkles
Josh Cellars wine
Ghirardelli Chocolate squares

Directions:
Make Funfetti mix as directed, replacing 1/2 cup of the water with 1/2 cup of Josh Cellars wine.
Cool, Ice, and Sprinkle with pearls, then top with Ghirardelli chocolate square.
Serve with chilled Josh Cellars wine.

This is truly #asweetpairing. The best thing is that you can purchase all of the ingredients at your local Wal-Mart making this an easy to prepare treat.

Yum! I pinned this past. Who can go wrong with chocolate and wine, plus my favorite cake is funfetti. Thanks for sharing, they look tasty.

I love chocolate and I love cupcakes. I never knew you could use wine in cupcakes. That is very interesting. I have actually started trying out wine and I think I have the flavor I like.

Loving the grown up version of cupcakes! The pink frosting and chocolate square on top are especially appealing.

Cupcakes are my all time favorite dessert. I have never made them with wine before, though. I need toget on that ;)

Well I think this might be the match made in heaven I was looking for. Chocolate and wine and a cupcake all-in-one seriously is there anything better?

Adding wine to cupcakes? Are you kidding me!! That sounds delicious!

And yes, you are right, what girl does not like chocolate. I went to San Fran many years ago and came home with a suitcase full of Ghirardelli chocolate.

These sound like awesome white wine cupcakes for sure. They look gorgeous with the pink frosting, pink pearl candies, and the Ghirardelli chocolates. I will have to try making these gorgeous delicious cupcakes.

These would be so fun for our game nights with our friends. I’ve never tried cupcakes made with wine, but I bet they are fun and tasty. I’m curious as to if it’s a trial and error or if there are certain wines that are okay to bake with?

These cupcakes look really good. I tried to make champagne cupcakes one time, and they didn’t turn out that good. And…they didn’t look as good as yours. My favorite type of cupcake is this espresso one that I bought at a bake sale at an Ukrainian church. Man, I wish I had that recipe. Delicious!

These look really good! What a wonderful idea for cupcakes. My daughters would have a blast making these too!

I would love to make these but I don’t drink wine and never have any in the house. Maybe I can substitute something else for the wine.
