Revenge Eggs (What Revenge Tastes Like)

I didn't intend to have two back-to-back posts involving the same thing (food/hummus), but life got in the way of blogging. A few weeks ago I did a campaign with Bush's Beans and their new Hummus Made Easy.  We loved the hummus so much, I decided to use it in my Revenge Mayo recipe. You know what Revenge tastes like?

In March, I was in a grocery store grabbing the final items I needed before checking out. Aybra was pushing our shopping cart while I walked behind her when suddenly, I felt something ram into the back of my legs. I turned around to find a grown lady. She said “Excuse me” rather rudely and instead of responding back I ignored it, smiled sweetly in a “It’s ok” kind of gesture and told Aybra “Ok Abby, let’s go find a checkout now” as she started pushing towards the nearest one.

The lady that rammed into the back of my legs then proceeded to race as fast as she could around me and Aybra and cut in front of us in the line. She heard me tell Aybra to head to the check out and she was intent on getting there before us. My jaw dropped to the floor. I was stunned and couldn’t utter a word, yet so angry that I knew if I said anything I would have cursed at her. She didn’t have as many items as we did, and I would have had no problem letting her go in front of us, but the way she did it left me floored. And I don’t care how bad of a day you are having, you don’t shove your way past a little kid pushing a shopping cart.

We made it home later that day to find the rude woman’s mayonnaise in our bags.

So, in case you were wondering, revenge tastes like mayonnaise and I am going to enjoy every bite of it…

Revenge Mayonnaise - Deviled Eggs with Hummus Recipe by Life as a Convert

I waited for the perfect opportunity to use this mayonnaise and that came when making deviled eggs.

Revenge Eggs - Deviled Egg Recipe with Hummus #hummusmadeeasy

Revenge Eggs Filling

After boiling, peeling, and slicing a dozen eggs in half mix the following ingredients together and fill the halved eggs.

Yolk from the cooked eggs
2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons prepared Bush's Hummus Made Easy

Enjoy!
Simple enough, right? I know some people like to flavor their deviled eggs with mustard, but the hint of garlic from the hummus is just enough. Add a sprinkle of Sriracha for the perfect kick.
What do you like to top your deviled eggs with?

That’s rude and although it’s only a jar of mayonnaise she had it coming, lol. I’m glad you enjoyed cooking with it, the eggs look fantastic and I’m sure they tasted great too.

It’s okay to cut me off from the line but never the kids. I don’t know why people even do that. And karma really works fast since she gave you that free bottle of mayo without even noticing, lol. Good to know you had your fair share of revenge. The eggs look yummy!

The deviled eggs sound really worth that revenge! What an eggilicious revenge! The woman paid mayonnaise for it, nice!

  5. Courtney Gillard

That was a fast karma! The deviled eggs look amazing and I bet they were yummy.

Lol, awesome! I can totally empathise with that! I am always amazed at the how most, and I’m not exaggerating, people have such sullen and grumpy looks when shopping!

Some people are so rude! I hate it when people purposely go faster to get in front of you. Looks like your eggs turned out great though!

Well, I do my BEST to leave revenge off of my menu and out of my life. I DO. However, if someone had rammed the back of my legs, I could have fallen and seriously hurt myself. This was beyond rude, if not almost-evil! The icing was having done this in front of one of my little ones. All bets are off when it possibly would include the little ones!

I might of had to sing about it on the way home, “I got your mayo-you-ew-ew-su-ck!”

MIss-Shove’Em-Behind-The-Kness is LUCKY that your revenge was some delicious deviled eggs!

    Enjoy! :)

I make a lot of hard boiled eggs. Sometimes they turn into deviled eggs, but I get lazy and usually just make egg salad. But MINE have got to have mustard! :) I also top with dill!

People are so freakin’ rude! Love the fact the mayo ended up with you though. That’s karma for you, hope she needed it for her lunch that day and she had to go without!

Thank you I needed a good laugh today. Wonder if she felt bad about her rudeness, especially after she was missing her mayo. Cool recipe for deviled eggs, I love humus.

I think it was an accident caused by her rushing through the store. I was mostly irritated because she had so little things compared to my cart and I wouldn’t have minded letting her go ahead.

Love it! Great revenge story you have to share with others lol! And I’ve never tried hummus in my deviled eggs. Sounds delicious

Oh no! Did that really happen? How rude of her if it did. Great recipe and glad you were able to use her mayo lol.

I don’t understand why the grocery store brings out the worst in people? Personally, I couldn’t be unhappy in a place that sells every delicious thing I like to eat. The revenge eggs sound awesome!!

Hilarious and so true. Its a karma thing and I am a huge believer in it.. enjoy those eggs and thank you for the chuckle. I hope she went to the store specifically for the mayo :)

It sounds so absurd that a grown human being would behave that way. I can’t even imagine. I don’t understand humanity’s need to be so selfish.
